CMF Designer

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior CMF Designer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

• Collaborate closely with project designers and chiefs to understand project requirements and contribute creatively to CMF manifestos.
• Develop CMF themes/stories for exterior CMF exploration directions that align with the overall CMF concept.
• Regularly present benchmarks of competitors related to exterior aspects.
• Create and present a range of innovative exterior CMF proposals for each project during the exploratory phase.
• Work with Lead SE and program designer for CMD delivery.
• Present CMF exterior proposals and themes in project meetings, providing strong arguments for acceptance.
• Participate in relevant Line meetings, project meetings, and Design Board sessions.
• Create or generate modified/new CMF proposals for this area as required, in alignment with the program Chief and designer.
• Oversee CMD creation for physical exterior CMF models and follow up with model makers.
• Follow the development of the A master, keeping stakeholders informed of choices made.
• Possibility to travel to suppliers in both EU and China.

Holistic cross-carline strategy and continuous innovative exploration:

• Create and maintain consistency in this area, monitoring colors in each factory and working holistically across carlines.
• Inspire the CMF team and key stakeholders with new aspects, technologies, trends, and sustainable processes.
• Collaborate with the exterior design team to align with their design strategy through CMF.
• Follow brand team updates and collaborate with BA on material strategies strengthening the brand.
• Collaborate with the Material Lab on advanced design subjects.

Industrialization phase for all projects (with SE support):

• Follow the development of the B master and CD master, working closely with all stakeholders until AA2.
• Support the Lead SE with CMD updates for exterior.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, renders, and VR materials as required during changes.
• Participate in relevant Line meetings, Design Board sessions, project reviews, VP and TT car reviews.
• Create or generate modified/new CMF proposals if required, aligned with program designer/chief.
• Possibility to travel to suppliers in both EU and China.

• Knowledge and experience working with body color development and as a CMF designer in projects.
• Strong creative and structured mindset.

• Excellent proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Experience working in VRED and VR.
