Data Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Development of the Data Management Platform, focusing on enhancing efficiency in data management processes.
- Implementation of automatic deployment and configuration procedures within the platform.
- Facilitating seamless metadata management by connecting data across various systems for user accessibility.
- Utilizing platform capabilities such as lineage tracking, data profiling, and data quality assessment.
- Onboarding source systems through database connectors within Ab Initio.
- Enhancing IT security awareness and understanding the data landscape encompassing various sources like data lakes and databases.
- Collaborating as a team player and building relationships across the organization.
- Demonstrating innovation by thinking creatively and identifying opportunities.
What You Bring:
- Proficiency in Linux operating systems.
- Experience in DevOps practices, including installation, configuration, CI/CD, and automation scripting.
- Familiarity with YAML and Ansible for infrastructure management.
- Competence in Java and/or C# programming languages.
- Ability to onboard source systems using Ab Initio database connectors.
- Knowledge of TypeScript for scripting purposes.
- General IT acumen encompassing different data sources and IT security principles.
- Technical expertise in creating lineage documentation and ensuring data quality.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Innovative thinking, with a focus on problem-solving and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Fluency in English for effective communication, as English-speaking consultants are also welcome for the assignment.
