DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

• Collaborate in the establishment of a cohesive team responsible for jointly managing platforms including OpenShift 4, Kafka, and the monitoring platform, along with surrounding CI/CD applications.
• Take charge of handling IT incidents for constituent systems, contributing to troubleshooting, and coordinating efforts, particularly in the context of 2nd and 3rd line support.
• Drive and execute system upgrades and enhancements to ensure optimal performance.
• Install, configure, and prepare new environments, anticipating potential future needs.
• Provide support and assistance to both internal and external stakeholders as required.
• Coordinate various types of tests and actively participate in test execution.
• Update system documentation, including operational procedures and system dependencies.
• Assist in IT security efforts, such as conducting risk and vulnerability analyses and monitoring information security.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and system suppliers to implement IT changes.
• Aid in specifying technical requirements and contribute to the development of new solutions.
• Assist in the development of management plans, system maintenance plans, and change implementation.
• Ensure familiarity with other IT solutions relevant to the assignment.

What you bring:

• College/university education, equivalent to at least 120p/180hp in IT or relevant education/work experience as determined by the customer.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Linux environment, including system installations, configurations, and upgrades.
• At least 5 years of experience in IT operations for mission-critical infrastructure.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with container platforms, specifically Kubernetes or OpenShift in a cluster environment, encompassing maintenance, support, daily operations, and further development.
• At least 5 years of experience working with automation, configuration, and scripting using tools such as Ansible, bash, PowerShell, and YAML.
• Proficient in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

Additional Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in monitoring and surveillance, including configuration and management of alarms and logs using tools like ELK or Prometheus and Grafana.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience managing Apache Kafka.
• At least 3 years of practical experience working with clustered OpenShift platforms running on-premises in your data centers.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working on assignments/projects involving the establishment and use of infrastructure-as-code.
