Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines and backend systems that enable efficient data processing and analytics.
- Develop and optimize data solutions in AWS Cloud, ensuring robustness, performance, and security.
- Work extensively with Snowflake to design and manage data warehouses, supporting high-quality data delivery.
- Implement strong data governance practices and collaborate with teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance.
- Contribute to improving data quality and cleaning processes as a foundation for analytics and business insights.
- Explore and apply Data Mesh principles, supporting decentralized and scalable data architectures.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
- Continuously evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to enhance data infrastructure and engineering capabilities.
What you bring:
- Proven experience in backend development and data engineering, with a focus on scalable, production-grade data systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud architecture and data governance frameworks.
- Solid expertise with Snowflake, including performance tuning and optimization.
- Deep understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and data modeling principles.
- Passion for data quality, validation, and cleaning to ensure reliable analytics.
- Curiosity and interest in Data Mesh concepts and modern data architecture practices.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Full professional proficiency in English (Swedish is a plus).
- Experience with tools such as DBT, Witboost, or Collibra is an advantage.
