Job Description
Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Simulation Engineer – Fatigue & Durability to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Deliver high-quality durability and fatigue simulation models and validated analysis results
- Perform advanced simulations on metal and plastic components within cab structures
- Plan, lead and execute complex fatigue and durability analyses to meet design targets
- Recommend optimal simulation methods and timing to support product development decisions
- Ensure accuracy and fidelity of simulation results, models and methodologies
- Support design and project engineers with technical insights throughout development phases
- Lead and contribute to method and tool development for durability analysis
- Collaborate in a global engineering environment and drive cross-functional technical alignment
- Act as a technical expert and mentor junior simulation engineers across global teams
- Initiate and lead technical networks, drive innovation and contribute to technology roadmaps
- Engage with universities, research partners and internal teams to evolve simulation capabilities
- Estimate project content, timelines and resource needs to secure on-time delivery
What you bring:
- 10+ years of experience in durability and fatigue analysis within automotive engineering
- Strong expertise in fatigue of metals and plastics and associated durability methodologies
- Proven hands-on experience with Ansa/Beta for pre-processing and model setup
- Solid simulation competence using MSC Nastran or equivalent FEM solvers
- Proficiency in Python for automation, scripting and simulation process efficiency
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to draw engineering conclusions and recommend design actions
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global development environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Experience leading complex simulation projects and mentoring others
- Demonstrated ability to drive method development and simulation best practices
- Proven ability to link simulation work to product strategy and business value
- Previous experience in cross-functional automotive product development environments
