Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Deliver engineering solutions within retarder and PTO systems, ensuring high standards of design integrity and performance
- Develop 3D models and assemblies using CATIA V5, creating accurate and production-ready designs
- Produce and update assembly drawings and technical documentation in line with project and quality requirements
- Refine existing design concepts to improve functionality, manufacturability, and cost efficiency
- Solve complex technical challenges with a practical and innovative approach
- Execute engineering changes according to established development processes and tools
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across R&D, manufacturing, and quality to secure aligned and robust technical solutions
- Contribute hands-on to prototype build, verification, and industrialization activities
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, processes, and design methodologies throughout project execution
- Adapt to changing project priorities while maintaining delivery precision and accountability
What you bring:
- Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical field
- Proven expertise in CATIA V5 for part and assembly design
- Solid experience with ENOVIA or similar PLM systems
- Strong understanding of R&D development processes and tools such as PD Process, FRAS, and ECO
- Ability to independently drive design tasks from concept to release
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical engineering mindset
- Excellent communication skills with proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional environments
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and hands-on approach to engineering challenges
- Availability to work onsite 4 days per week with flexibility to increase presence as needed
