Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Category Manager to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Drive sourcing and supplier management activities within your assigned category to ensure optimal quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Develop and execute local sourcing strategies while monitoring supply markets to identify new potential suppliers and innovations.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations, including quality, delivery, and commercial metrics.
- Lead cost-saving initiatives, manage price negotiations, and handle supplier contracts and documentation in IS/IT systems.
- Support sourcing for new product introductions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Work closely with R&D, Quality, and Purchasing teams locally, and collaborate globally with teams in China and the US.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of SCM processes and policies, working alongside the global process excellence team.
- Act as a power user for SCM IS/IT tools such as SAP Ariba.
What you bring:
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in strategic or tactical sourcing within a global manufacturing environment.
- Educational background in engineering or business with a focus on Supply Chain Management.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, both internally and externally.
- Self-driven, result-oriented, and comfortable working in a global, fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of purchasing tools, processes, and industrial commodities in a global context.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with SAP, Ariba, or equivalent systems is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken); Swedish skills are highly valued.
