Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Oil and Cooling Systems to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Design and develop components within the oil and cooling system area, ensuring high performance and quality standards.
- Create and deliver 3D models and 2D drawings in Catia V5 for purchasing and suppliers.
- Plan, maintain, and follow up on assigned components, including developing and updating verification plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production, purchasing, aftermarket, and subcontractors to ensure smooth development and implementation.
- Participate in concept generation, CFD-based design evaluations, and testing to validate design solutions.
- Work in both Swedish and English, contributing to documentation and communication in both languages.
- Optionally (if Scrum Master role is included, approx. 50%):
- Work closely with the Product Owner to facilitate team planning, prioritization, and delivery.
- Lead team ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives).
- Act as the team’s cross-functional spokesperson toward purchasing, production, and aftermarket.
- Visualize schedules, ensure transparency, identify dependencies, and remove obstacles in the delivery flow.
What you bring:
- University or civil engineering degree, with several years of experience in design and product development.
- Strong knowledge of Catia V5 (3D and 2D).
- Experience working in both Swedish and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Open, collaborative, and proactive mindset with a structured and creative approach to problem-solving.
- Proven ability to take responsibility and deliver within complex technical projects.
- Experience from R&D is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with CFD analysis, testing, and agile methodologies is beneficial.
