Job Description
Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Performance & Calibration Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Calibrating combustion system and engine-related functions to meet quality, fuel consumption, and emission targets
- Selecting and evaluating engine hardware components to support optimal combustion performance
- Developing and validating advanced control strategies in line with upcoming emission legislation
- Performing a mix of engine laboratory testing, virtual testing, simulation, data analysis, creative design discussions, and vehicle verification
- Following the full calibration lifecycle from early concept to test cell validation and final vehicle testing
- Participating in climate expeditions for warm and cold environment testing
- Collaborating closely with software and design teams in an agile setup with sprint-based planning and continuous delivery
- Managing both long-term project assignments and short improvement tasks for products already in production
- Contributing to an open, supportive team culture and sharing knowledge across cross-functional groups
What you bring:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in combustion engine development and 3 years in engine calibration
- Master of Science degree or equivalent technical background
- Strong understanding of combustion systems, calibration methodologies, and emission compliance requirements
- Experience working in agile development environments with cross-functional engineering teams
- Proficiency in data analysis, simulation tools, and laboratory or test cell environments
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in spoken and written English
- Positive attitude, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively across disciplines
- High level of drive, accountability, and interest in continuously improving methods and ways of working
