Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Build AI-powered analytics capabilities including natural-language data exploration, automated insights, contextual suggestions, and assistive intelligence features.
- Design and implement scalable backend systems that support reliable, high-performance AI workflows.
- Contribute to the core data platform, including development of the semantic layer and query engine for fast, accurate metric calculations across diverse SQL dialects and data sources.
- Architect modular, future-proof APIs and integrations that serve both human users and AI agents.
- Optimize system performance through improved infrastructure, database tuning, observability enhancements, and architectural refinement.
- Work end-to-end from concept to production delivery, ensuring solutions create meaningful user impact and reduce complexity.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams in a fast-moving, highly iterative environment.
What you bring:
- Deep hands-on experience implementing AI/LLM-driven backend features and designing robust systems around them.
- Strong backend engineering fundamentals with the ability to work across backend, data, and infrastructure layers.
- Solid experience with Node.js, TypeScript, SQL, PostgreSQL, and scalable system design.
- Knowledge of infrastructure tooling such as Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, Docker, Redis, and Bun.
- Ability to architect and maintain high-performance services, APIs, and integrations.
- Experience contributing to or building semantic layers, query engines, or similar data-centric backend systems.
- End-to-end ownership mindset with focus on quality, simplicity, and long-term maintainability.
- Collaborative, humble, and effective communication skills with a strong desire to work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Comfort working in dynamic product environments where priorities shift rapidly and experimentation is encouraged
