Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Establish, maintain, and improve supplier quality assurance across our supply chain.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to initiate and manage APQP and PPAP processes for new or existing projects and parts.
- Perform audits on new and existing suppliers to assess their quality performance and provide input into supplier selection and commodity management.
- Guide suppliers through the APQP process and approve the outcomes of their Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities.
- Support suppliers during corrective actions that impact both internal and external customers.
- Develop improvement plans for underperforming suppliers, utilizing methods such as process analysis, value stream mapping, 6-Sigma, 5S, and Kaizen events.
- Participate in drawing reviews to ensure alignment with project requirements, minimizing risks and misunderstandings.
- Coordinate with Commodity Managers for supplier selection, assessment, and approval of purchased parts.
- Verify and approve supplier PPAP submissions for new part designs in New Product Development (NPD) and Project Improvement (PI) initiatives.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Engineering.
- Recognized qualifications in quality engineering and audit processes, with relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma) being advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System, APQP, PPAP, Root Cause Analysis, Lean manufacturing, and quality engineering practices.
- Proven experience conducting Full Supplier Quality Audits (FSQA) and process audits.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships across global teams and stakeholders.
