Senior Functional Safety Specialist - 12257

Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Functional Safety Specialist to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

Review product designs, technical documentation, and test results to verify compliance with EN 1175:2020 and ISO 13849 standards
Perform functional safety assessments, including risk analyses and evaluations of Safety Integrity Levels (SIL)
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to assess safety risks and propose effective mitigation strategies
Ensure safety-critical systems are validated and documented according to functional safety standards throughout the product lifecycle
Support the certification and compliance process by providing expert input on functional safety requirements
Identify and address potential safety concerns in the final stages of development, ensuring readiness for product release
Work closely with the customer and internal teams to align on safety goals and ensure successful project delivery

What you bring:

Proven experience with EN 1175:2020 (industrial truck safety) and ISO 13849 (machinery safety) standards
Hands-on knowledge in conducting functional safety assessments, risk analyses, and managing the safety lifecycle
Strong background in mechanical, electrical, or software engineering with a focus on safety-related systems
Experience in the design and validation of safety-critical systems
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering and project teams
Relevant certifications or qualifications in functional safety (e.g., TÜV Functional Safety Engineer) are considered an asset
