Job Description

Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Build Engineer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

  • Design and implement a scalable Bazel-based build architecture
  • Lead the migration from CMake and optimize C++ build flows for efficiency and performance
  • Train and coach development teams in Bazel and BuildBuddy, ensuring effective knowledge transfer
  • Document best practices and contribute to improving the overall developer experience
  • Collaborate closely with internal development teams to support the modernization project

What you bring:

  • Extensive experience with Bazel in large-scale C++ projects
  • Proven track record of build system migrations, preferably from CMake to Bazel
  • Strong knowledge of Starlark and multi-platform builds across Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS, and Android
  • Solid background in C/C++ development and build pipelines
  • Ability to lead workshops and transfer knowledge effectively
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Bonus: experience with BuildBuddy and/or open source contributions within the Bazel ecosystem
  • Strong pedagogical and communication skills to engage and support diverse teams
