Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Linux System Administrator to join our dynamic team.
What You Will Work On:
- Design, deploy, and maintain a Linux-based GPU-enabled Remote Desktop (VDI) infrastructure for HPC workloads, including DCV, EF Portal (EnginFrame), SLURM, X11, and Xfce4 on Rocky Linux/RHEL.
- Develop automation scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code pipelines (primarily using Ansible) to ensure consistent and repeatable deployments.
- Ensure system security, scalability, performance, and maintainability across all environments.
- Collaborate with HPC and infrastructure teams to align on architecture, deployments, and best practices.
- Document architecture, configurations, deployment workflows, and operational procedures for long-term maintainability and knowledge sharing.
What You Bring:
- Solid experience as a Linux System Administrator, preferably with Rocky Linux or RHEL.
- Strong skills in automation and Infrastructure-as-Code using Ansible or similar tools.
- Proficiency in scripting, primarily Bash (Python experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git, GitLab).
- Understanding of X11, desktop environments (Xfce4, GNOME), and remote rendering/display protocols.
- Good knowledge of networking, security, and monitoring tools (Prometheus-based observability preferred).
- Architectural mindset with ability to design maintainable, scalable, and automated systems.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex environments.
- Meriting: Experience with HPC environments and SLURM scheduler, NICE DCV, EF Portal (EnginFrame), Open OnDemand, containerization (Docker, Podman), and monitoring/observability tools.
