Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Substation Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Develop and maintain the next-generation SOM Engineering Flow.
- Design and evolve the SOM platform in alignment with reference architecture and system requirements.
- Work with MicroSCADA HMI for substation automation applications.
- Implement MSX/RTU-based gateway solutions for communication and control.
- Manage and integrate communication interfaces across the SOM scope (IEC61850, SNMP, IEC104, MODBUS, OPC-UA).
- Implement and validate secured communication protocols in line with cybersecurity standards.
- Develop and deploy PQ-specific (Power Quality) solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the PGGA team on system design, development, and delivery.
- Maintain and prioritize backlogs for PGGA and vendor change requests (CRs) and bug fixes.
- Address and resolve issues and CRs from application teams.
- Oversee lifecycle management activities, ensuring system reliability and compliance.
What you bring:
- Proven experience working with SCADA systems, preferably MicroSCADA.
- Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (IEC61850, SNMP, IEC104, MODBUS, OPC-UA).
- Experience in gateway configuration and RTU-based systems.
- Solid understanding of secured communication and cybersecurity principles.
- Analytical mindset with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in substation automation project management, backlog handling, and lifecycle maintenance.
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work across global and cross-functional teams.
- Adaptable and open to learning new technologies and evolving project needs.
- Fluent in English; Swedish proficiency is an advantage.
