Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior API Gateway Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What You Will Work On
- Design and implement APIs using API management platforms, with a preference for AWS API Gateway.
- Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation.
- Integrate APIs with backend systems and services.
- Monitor API performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure APIs align with business requirements.
- Implement security best practices to protect APIs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in API management.
What You Bring
- Strong understanding of API management concepts and platforms, with a preference for AWS API Gateway.
- Experience in API development and design.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation.
- Proficiency in Java, Node.js, and React.js.
- Experience with AWS services like CloudFront, S3, SQS, DynamoDB, AWS Lambda functions, and AWS networking components.
- Experience with API security standards and protocols such as OAuth and OpenID Connect.
- Knowledge of API testing and performance benchmarking tools.
- Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Skills (Good to Have)
- Understanding of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
