Assignment Description
We are looking for a Platform Architect with strong expertise in Azure and Databricks platform architecture to support the design, implementation, and evolution of modern enterprise data platforms.
What You Will Work On
- Design and implement enterprise-grade Azure Databricks platform solutions
- Define and maintain scalable platform architecture and governance models
- Develop and optimize Databricks workspace structures and cluster governance
- Configure and manage operational workflows using Databricks Jobs and Workflows
- Implement governance, lineage, permissions, and auditability using Unity Catalog
- Design secure Azure networking solutions for cloud data platforms
- Work with identity and access management using Entra ID, RBAC/ABAC, managed identities, and service principals
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines for platform deployment and automation
- Collaborate with stakeholders on platform strategy, security, and operational improvements
- Ensure platform solutions align with Microsoft Well-Architected principles and enterprise security standards
What You Bring
- Strong expertise in Azure Databricks platform engineering and Azure architecture
- Experience working with both strategic platform design and hands-on implementation
- Deep knowledge of enterprise Databricks architecture, including workspace design and cluster governance
- Experience with Databricks Jobs and operational workflows
- Strong understanding of Unity Catalog, including governance models, permissions, lineage, and auditability
- Solid expertise in Azure security and identity management
- Experience with Entra ID, RBAC/ABAC, managed identities, service principals, and Key Vault integration
- Strong knowledge of Azure networking and secure connectivity patterns
- Experience with VNet injection, Private Link, and private endpoints
- Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and/or Bicep
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
- Understanding of Microsoft Well-Architected principles and enterprise platform best practices
