Assignment Description
We are currently looking for a Senior WAF / Cloudflare Security Architect
What You Will Work On
- Design and implement enterprise-grade Cloudflare WAF solutions
- Establish a scalable and secure WAF service architecture
- Define security standards, governance models, and best practices
- Produce High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation
- Develop and maintain baseline WAF rules and security policies
- Analyze web traffic patterns and optimize security controls
- Continuously tune WAF configurations to reduce false positives and improve protection
- Support deployment, validation, and production rollout activities
- Coordinate operational handover to support and operations teams
- Develop operational procedures, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and technical workshops
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, network, and security teams
- Support onboarding of business-critical applications to the WAF platform
- Provide architectural guidance and challenge existing approaches when necessary
- Identify and mitigate security risks related to web applications and internet-facing services
- Support continuous improvement of security capabilities and operational processes
What You Bring
- Extensive hands-on experience with Cloudflare WAF in enterprise environments
- Strong expertise in Web Application Firewall technologies and architectures
- Deep understanding of web application security principles and best practices
- Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies
- Advanced understanding of HTTP, HTTPS, APIs, and modern web architectures
- Experience designing enterprise security architectures
- Extensive experience producing High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Experience developing security policies, standards, and governance frameworks
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience operating within complex enterprise environments
- Strong consulting mindset with focus on delivery, quality, and risk reduction
- Ability to work independently while driving collaboration across multiple teams
