Assignment Description
We are looking for an experienced EMC System Engineer
What You Will Work On
- Develop and define the overall EMC strategy for a large industrial facility
- Design and implement a facility-level EMC zoning concept
- Identify high-emission, controlled, and sensitive EMC zones
- Define EMC requirements, constraints, and transition rules between zones
- Establish shielding, filtering, separation, and interface principles
- Develop a system-level EMC propagation model (EMC budget)
- Analyze electromagnetic emission propagation across facility zones
- Quantify attenuation, emissions, and immunity requirements throughout the facility
- Translate site boundary emission limits into practical engineering requirements
- Define technical requirements for RF-generating equipment and critical subsystems
- Ensure compliance with EMC standards, including the EN 61000 family
- Collaborate closely with power system engineers and electrical designers
- Support facility layout, electrical system design, and system architecture decisions
- Perform feasibility studies and validation analyses for EMC solutions
- Evaluate trade-offs between shielding, filtering, source control, and facility layout
- Assess external interference scenarios and recommend mitigation strategies
- Produce EMC design guidelines, technical documentation, and engineering recommendations
- Act as the technical authority for EMC throughout the project lifecycle
What You Bring
- Proven experience as an EMC System Engineer, EMC Specialist, or Electrical Systems Engineer
- Senior-level experience with EMC at system, infrastructure, or facility level
- Strong knowledge of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) principles
- Extensive experience with industrial EMC standards, particularly the EN 61000 family
- Experience designing EMC zoning strategies for complex facilities
- Strong understanding of shielding, filtering, grounding, and interference mitigation
- Experience translating regulatory and physical constraints into engineering requirements
- Experience working with electrical system architecture and system engineering
- Ability to develop EMC budgets, propagation models, and system-level analyses
- Experience performing feasibility studies and technical validation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Excellent technical communication and documentation skills
- Comfortable working in early-phase, research, development, and high-uncertainty environments
