Assignment Description

We are looking for a Metallographer / Materials Engineer

What You Will Work On

  • Prepare samples using cutting, casting, and polishing equipment
  • Conduct material testing and provide data for evaluation
  • Support microscopy examinations and analysis
  • Document results and create technical reports
  • Work with thermally sprayed, printed, and metallographic samples
  • Collaborate with materials engineers and laboratory teams
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the lab
  • Support IT and instrument development within the laboratory
  • Ensure quality assurance and compliance in testing processes
  • Engage with customers and operators to support their processes

What You Bring / Required Qualifications

  • Technical background, preferably MSc in Materials Technology or related field
  • Interest in laboratory environments and material inspection
  • Experience or familiarity with sample preparation and testing
  • Basic knowledge of IT tools such as Microsoft Office
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Swedish and English
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility
