Job Description

Assignment Description:

We are seeking a highly senior Power Systems Engineering Lead to take overall responsibility for engineering delivery in large-scale power grid infrastructure projects. The role combines deep technical leadership with full project engineering responsibility, covering planning, design, execution, and commissioning of electrical and automation systems within transmission and distribution environments. You will operate with high independence and provide technical direction across multidisciplinary teams and external partners.

What you will work on:

  • Lead engineering planning, design, and execution for power grid and electrical infrastructure projects
  • Develop technical concepts, system designs, engineering documentation, and specifications
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and external contractors
  • Prepare project schedules, cost estimates, and engineering work plans
  • Oversee manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning activities
  • Monitor technical progress, risks, and performance to ensure timely delivery
  • Define engineering standards, work methods, and quality requirements
  • Support decisions on equipment selection, materials, and supplier engagement
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and quality review of engineering work
  • Resolve complex technical challenges requiring advanced engineering judgment

What you bring:

  • 10+ years of documented experience in power systems, electrical engineering, or grid infrastructure projects
  • Proven ability to lead large engineering scopes within energy transmission and distribution environments
  • Strong background in electrical systems, automation, and infrastructure delivery
  • Experience managing engineering activities across full project lifecycle from design to commissioning
  • Capability to work independently with responsibility for complex technical decisions
  • Experience coordinating internal teams, suppliers, and international partners
  • Strong planning, cost estimation, and project control competence from an engineering perspective
  • Fluency in Swedish and English for technical and project communication
  • Willingness to work onsite several days per week and travel to project and supplier sites as required
