Assignment Description
For a client within the defense industry, we are looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Manager (SQM)
What You Will Work On
- Quality assure purchased components, materials, and subsystems within assigned categories
- Ensure implementation of purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures
- Define and manage quality requirements within RFQs, contracts, and purchase orders
- Participate in and create procurement preparations and supplier quality activities
- Perform supplier and product audits onsite at supplier locations
- Monitor supplier quality performance and drive corrective actions when targets are not met
- Lead supplier improvement programs and quality initiatives
- Handle supplier complaints and review supplier corrective action responses
- Collaborate closely with internal quality organizations and external suppliers
- Analyze quality data and drive continuous improvement activities
- Support quality assurance activities related to externally manufactured products
What You Bring
- University degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of quality methodologies and quality assurance processes
- Experience working with supplier quality and procurement quality activities
- Good understanding of quality tools such as:
- Root Cause Analysis
- Capability Analysis
- Risk Analysis
- FMEA
- 8D
- Measurement System Analysis
- Strong analytical and structured working approach
- Ability to collaborate effectively both internally and externally
- Experience solving complex quality and supplier-related issues
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
