Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Android Software Engineer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

Design, develop, and enhance advanced Android applications and services in collaboration with global technology partners such as Google.
Build new features and functionalities ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability across multiple Volvo brands.
Take end-to-end ownership of the software development life cycle — from concept and design to deployment and production maintenance.
Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to define, design, and deliver customer-focused solutions.
Implement robust testing strategies, including unit and integration testing, to ensure software quality and stability.
Contribute to continuous improvement by staying updated on the latest Android technologies, frameworks, and tools.
Support production operations and ensure successful delivery of applications with a focus on user experience and technical excellence.

What you bring:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in software development with strong expertise in Java and Kotlin.
Proven knowledge of Android architecture patterns and modern design principles.
Hands-on experience with development tools such as Git, Jenkins, Jira, and Artifactory.
Strong understanding of software quality assurance and testing techniques, including JUnit and Espresso.
Experience in Radio and Media application development is a strong advantage.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
A proactive, collaborative, and innovative mindset with a passion for new technologies.
Ability to inspire, motivate, and support teammates in achieving shared goals.
