Assignment Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Android Software Engineer to support the development of connected software solutions within a leading industrial technology environment.
What You Will Work On
- Drive software development across all product lifecycle phases
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Android-based applications and services
- Develop software solutions for embedded and device-oriented platforms
- Build integrations between onboard systems and cloud services
- Design reliable communication mechanisms between edge devices and backend platforms
- Support connected product initiatives and digital service ecosystems
- Develop scalable and maintainable software architectures
- Troubleshoot and optimize software performance and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and product teams
- Participate in technical design discussions and architecture decisions
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and engineering practices
- Ensure software quality through testing, validation, and best practices
What You Bring
- Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience
- Strong hands-on Android development expertise
- Experience building robust and scalable Android applications and services
- Experience working with embedded or device-based software platforms
- Strong understanding of connected systems and digital ecosystems
- Experience integrating device software with cloud-based services
- Knowledge of IoT communication patterns and protocols
- Experience with REST, MQTT, gRPC, or similar technologies
- Understanding of distributed systems architecture
- Experience designing reliable data exchange mechanisms between edge and cloud systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Experience working throughout the full software development lifecycle

📍 Alternative base: Gothenburg (with occasional travel to Eskilstuna)
