Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Automotive – Design Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Design internal components for Power Take-Off (PTO) systems on gearboxes for both internal combustion engine (ICE) drivetrains and electrified vehicle platforms
- Contribute to concept development, detailed design, and validation activities within multi-company development projects
- Perform 3D and 2D design work using Catia V5 and manage product data in Enovia
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including test engineers, designers, project managers, and Scrum Masters
- Ensure component functionality, quality, and manufacturability according to customer standards and product development processes
- Prepare technical documentation and support reviews throughout the development lifecycle
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support problem-solving activities within the team
What you bring:
- Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field
- Strong experience in Catia V5 for mechanical design
- Hands-on experience with Enovia and PDM/PLM systems
- Proven background in product development within the automotive or drivetrain sector
- Knowledge of gearbox or powertrain components is an advantage
- Familiarity with structured product development processes, preferably from the customer’s PD environment
- Strong drive, initiative, and ability to take ownership of tasks
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work on-site approximately 80% in Södertälje
- Fluent in English; Swedish is an advantage but not mandatory
