Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior AWS Data Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What You Will Work On:
- Develop and maintain data pipelines on AWS-based Data Platform, ensuring efficient data flow for critical business functions.
- Transform designs and requirements into reusable, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices.
- Focus on automation, from CI/CD pipelines to testing and data quality assurance, aiming for process efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with Tech Leads, Data Analysts, Data Engineers, Business Intelligence developers, and Product Owners to drive feature development through Agile Release Trains.
- Participate in the Solution Design process to ensure robust data engineering solutions.
- Embrace DevOps practices, sharing responsibilities for ensuring that solutions are developed, tested, deployed, and operate smoothly.
What You Bring:
Must-Have Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Redshift Datawarehouse development.
- Proficiency with AWS data technologies such as S3, Python, IAM, AWS Glue, AWS Athena, Spark, Redshift, and Airflow.
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills for handling complex queries and database operations.
- Ability to conceptualize complex technical issues and provide robust solutions.
- Strong understanding of data from a business context, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Highly Valued Experience:
- Experience in data modeling for Data Warehouses is a significant advantage.
- Prior experience in the banking/financial industry is beneficial.
Soft Skills:
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and result-oriented, with the ability to work in a structured and efficient manner.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Nice-to-Have:
- Familiarity with Oracle RDBMS and Informatica (our current data platform technologies) is a plus.
- Experience working within agile frameworks, preferably SAFe.
