Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

Develop and maintain backend services in Java that support internal editorial workflows used daily by content and production teams.
Build and enhance data pipelines, GraphQL interfaces and PostgreSQL-based systems.
Contribute to backend infrastructure improvements and ensure systems are scalable, reliable and maintainable.
Collaborate closely with backend and frontend (TypeScript) teams to deliver end-to-end functionality.
Work across multiple systems, ensuring smooth integrations and alignment with business needs.
Follow features from design to deployment, benefiting from rapid feedback loops from internal users.
Support the development of platforms that drive high-volume interactions and curated content experiences.

What you bring:

Extensive experience with Java and modern backend system architecture.
Strong skills working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
Comfortable collaborating across backend and frontend teams; some experience with TypeScript is a plus.
Knowledge of GraphQL is highly valuable.
Experience with publishing platforms, CMS, or internal-facing tools is a strong advantage.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a strong sense of shared ownership.
Ability to articulate opinions clearly while remaining open to new ideas and perspectives.
Skilled at building alignment and bringing teams together around a common technical direction
Fluent in English and Swedish.
