Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior BI Developer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and semantic models to support operational, tactical, and strategic decision-making.
- Develop reusable, well-structured data models representing key business areas such as vessel calls, gate movements, terminal resources, customers, and incidents.
- Ensure high data quality, governance, and security, maintaining compliance with GDPR and applying best practices in access control and refresh reliability.
- Translate business and operational needs into impactful analytical products that drive measurable improvements.
- Collaborate with leaders across functions to prioritise BI initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Manage Power BI workspaces, datasets, and apps following DevOps principles.
- Implement CI/CD practices for BI artefacts using Azure DevOps.
- Monitor system health, data refresh processes, and dashboard performance to ensure stability and 24/7 availability for critical reports.
What you bring:
- A relevant university degree and approximately 5 years of experience in BI, data analytics, or reporting within complex operational environments.
- Advanced expertise in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, semantic modelling, and row-level security.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools for version control and automated BI deployments.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, including clean star/snowflake schema design and KPI definition.
- Solid knowledge of data governance, GDPR compliance, and security best practices.
- Experience working in Agile, product-oriented teams with a focus on user adoption and business value.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for transforming complex operational data into actionable insights.
