Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior CapEx & OpEx Reduction Specialist to join our dynamic team.
What You Will Work On
- Product Comparison: Analyze and compare the new product against the current baseline to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Cost Analysis: Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of in-house production versus outsourcing, identifying areas for potential savings.
- Process Improvement: Propose phased changes to tools, fixtures, and production processes, with a focus on reducing costs and improving efficiency.
- Material Choices: Assess material options, helping to optimize costs, and assist in negotiations with new suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Supplier Engagement: Provide insights into finding and negotiating with new suppliers, particularly within foundries, casting facilities, and other key manufacturing areas.
What You Bring
- Cost Analysis & Strategic Thinking: Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to develop strategic plans for cost reduction in both CapEx and OpEx.
- Product & Process Expertise: Experience in analyzing manufacturing processes and proposing phased improvements in tools and fixtures.
- Supplier Negotiation: Demonstrated ability to engage with and negotiate effectively with suppliers, particularly for materials and components.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with foundries, casting facilities, welding techniques, and suppliers of electrical components.
- Process Improvement: Proven experience in improving production processes to optimize costs.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience Level: Medium to senior-level experience in cost analysis and manufacturing process improvement.
- Time Commitment: Availability for 2-3 on-site visits, with the majority of work conducted remotely. The assignment will require a minimum of three sessions per week (2-2.5 hours per session) over a 1-2 month period.
- Language: Fluency in English is sufficient for this role.
