Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior CFD Simulation Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Perform CFD simulations for commercial vehicle traction batteries, focusing on thermal management to improve performance
- Optimize components based on test and simulation results to enhance battery service life, efficiency, and overall performance
- Support component validation through simulation and correlate results with physical testing
- Coordinate activities between simulation, testing, and design teams to ensure accurate and actionable insights
- Communicate and present simulation results effectively in both small and large forums
- Provide conclusions and recommendations from calculations to guide design and development decisions
What you bring:
- Degree in engineering (mechanical, technical physics, electrical, energy engineering) or similar, with a focus on electromobility or mechatronics
- Extensive experience performing CFD calculations, particularly kinetic and thermal simulations
- In-depth knowledge of thermodynamic processes and their application to battery systems
- Proficiency with 3D CFD software, preferably Ansa and Siemens Star CCM+
- Strong theoretical and practical understanding of electrified powertrain components, especially traction battery systems
- Advanced English skills for international collaboration; Swedish language skills are a plus
- Advantageous: knowledge of electrical or embedded vehicle systems, C/CE driver’s license, and experience with agile ways of working (VCT)
