Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior CFD Simulation Engineer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

Perform CFD simulations for commercial vehicle traction batteries, focusing on thermal management to improve performance
Optimize components based on test and simulation results to enhance battery service life, efficiency, and overall performance
Support component validation through simulation and correlate results with physical testing
Coordinate activities between simulation, testing, and design teams to ensure accurate and actionable insights
Communicate and present simulation results effectively in both small and large forums
Provide conclusions and recommendations from calculations to guide design and development decisions

What you bring:

Degree in engineering (mechanical, technical physics, electrical, energy engineering) or similar, with a focus on electromobility or mechatronics
Extensive experience performing CFD calculations, particularly kinetic and thermal simulations
In-depth knowledge of thermodynamic processes and their application to battery systems
Proficiency with 3D CFD software, preferably Ansa and Siemens Star CCM+
Strong theoretical and practical understanding of electrified powertrain components, especially traction battery systems
Advanced English skills for international collaboration; Swedish language skills are a plus
Advantageous: knowledge of electrical or embedded vehicle systems, C/CE driver’s license, and experience with agile ways of working (VCT)
