Job Description

Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Cobol Developer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

  • Develop and maintain COBOL-based systems supporting card and payment processing
  • Enhance transaction processing flows, with a focus on Mastercard-related integrations
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 8583 and ISO 8585 messaging standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support real-time processing and system improvements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in payment environments
  • Contribute to system documentation and ensure alignment with industry best practices

What you bring:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with COBOL in complex, high-volume environments
  • Proven expertise in Mastercard transaction processing and related systems
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with ISO 8583 and/or ISO 8585 standards
  • Familiarity with card systems, payment flows, and real-time transaction environments
  • Fluent in English and Swedish.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively collaborate in team settings
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in high-pressure financial systems
