Job Description

Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Cobol Developer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance business-critical applications on the IBM z/OS platform
  • Contribute to system architecture and modernization initiatives, including migration towards DevOps and CI/CD in mainframe environments
  • Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to ensure stable, efficient, and secure system performance
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of COBOL-based solutions
  • Act as a technical expert and mentor, sharing knowledge with the wider team

What you bring

  • Solid experience in COBOL development on IBM z/OS platforms
  • Proficiency with DB2, CICS, IMS, MQ, and JCL
  • Strong understanding of mainframe-based DevOps, CI/CD, and modernization practices
  • Independent, structured, and confident in technical decision-making
  • Experience working in complex, regulated environments, preferably in banking or financial services
