Job Description

Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on

  • Design, build, and maintain Qx and data applications using the Apache Spark framework
  • Manage and execute release activities, ensuring smooth and timely deployments
  • Provide P3-level production support for business-critical data applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Europe to deliver high-impact projects
  • Contribute actively to agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize data workflows and system performance

What you bring

  • Strong background as a Data Engineer with proven experience in data application development
  • Proficiency in Scala and the Apache Spark framework
  • Hands-on expertise with Hadoop ecosystem tools: Apache Hive, HDFS, Oozie, Impala, and Parquet
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing fundamentals and ETL processes
  • Experience with Unix Shell Scripting and basics of SQL, GIT, Gradle/Maven, and Java
  • Quantexa Technical Academy (Qx) Certification
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Nice to have: experience with Bamboo/Jenkins, advanced Gradle/Maven, and ElasticSearch
