Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on

Design, build, and maintain Qx and data applications using the Apache Spark framework
Manage and execute release activities, ensuring smooth and timely deployments
Provide P3-level production support for business-critical data applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Europe to deliver high-impact projects
Contribute actively to agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives
Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize data workflows and system performance

What you bring

Strong background as a Data Engineer with proven experience in data application development
Proficiency in Scala and the Apache Spark framework
Hands-on expertise with Hadoop ecosystem tools: Apache Hive, HDFS, Oozie, Impala, and Parquet
Solid understanding of data warehousing fundamentals and ETL processes
Experience with Unix Shell Scripting and basics of SQL, GIT, Gradle/Maven, and Java
Quantexa Technical Academy (Qx) Certification
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Nice to have: experience with Bamboo/Jenkins, advanced Gradle/Maven, and ElasticSearch
