Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

Take end-to-end responsibility for building, optimizing, and supporting both existing and new data products aligned with the target vision
Apply DevOps principles to manage CI/CD pipelines, Terraform scripts, and cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Ensure data products are independently deployable and meet non-functional standards for security, scalability, observability, and performance
Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to define and deliver solutions that support customer needs
Work with cross-functional product teams to implement and support data mesh concepts
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, reduce technical debt, and maintain high-quality solutions
Stay up-to-date with latest data, analytics, and cloud technologies

What you bring:

Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Strong proficiency with GCP tools such as Dataflow and BigQuery
Experience with Data Build Tool (DBT) and different data formats like Avro and Parquet
Strong SQL or equivalent data query skills
Experience with data-centric programming using Python, Java, or Scala
Solid understanding of data modeling techniques and trade-offs
Familiarity with NoSQL and RDBMS databases
Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
Experience with data visualization tools
Advantageous: business understanding of the retail industry
