Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

• Deliver high-quality data engineering solutions within the VEDA BI & Analytics project
• Collaborate with a global team across Sweden and India, ensuring effective knowledge sharing and alignment.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient technical solutions.
• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data engineering pipelines for processing, transformation, and integration.
• Set up and manage Azure DevOps environments from start to finish, including configurations, pipelines, releases, deployments, and hotfix management.
• Work actively in Databricks environments, including workflows, clusters, and data processing components.
• Support BI initiatives with strong data modelling practices and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Drive Agile ways of working and support continuous delivery, improvement, and automation.
• Manage parallel project activities while ensuring transparency, engagement, and strong team collaboration.

What you bring:

• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience as a data engineer with proven expertise in pipeline development.
• Strong technical experience setting up Azure DevOps environments end-to-end, including CI/CD, releases, and deployment processes.
• Solid background working with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, SQL, Python, PySpark, and scripting.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in BI projects with strong data modelling capabilities and business understanding.
• Proficiency with Git, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a global team, with strong communication, transparency, and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously with high quality and consistency.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• English fluency and the ability to work on-site in Gothenburg.
• Preferred skills include team upskilling capabilities, automation experience, shell scripting, and Power BI knowledge.
