Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Database Developer – Payroll History Archiving to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Design and develop a history database to archive and manage HR and payroll data from legacy payroll systems.
- Lead the migration of historical salary data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and data quality prior to deployment.
- Build a web-based interface with efficient and user-friendly search functionality for quick access to relevant records.
- Implement permission controls, logging, and export capabilities (e.g., Excel) to meet reporting, auditing, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure secure storage and accessibility of key data such as gross/net salary, tax deductions, employment history, and absence records.
- Support ongoing needs for reporting, statistics, audits, pension and insurance documentation, and regulatory requests.
- Deliver clear technical documentation and system descriptions to support future maintenance and management.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored, practical solutions.
What you bring:
- Extensive experience in developing and implementing databases for archiving and managing historical data.
- Strong background in designing and developing database systems with advanced search, access, and permission-controlled web interfaces.
- Proven expertise with Microsoft SQL and web development in Microsoft-based IT environments.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure high data quality during migration and deployment.
- Strong skills in technical documentation and the creation of user-friendly system descriptions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to understand and translate client needs into effective solutions.
- Relevant IT certifications or equivalent hands-on experience in system development, database management, and web application development.
