Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Design components or complete automation cabinet solutions, low voltage switchgear (MCC), and junction boxes for high-reliability cooling systems
- Develop electrical documentation for delivery projects under the guidance of the project engineer
- Provide technical support for aftermarket issues on delivered projects
- Select components and develop solutions aligned with customer specifications and project requirements
- Perform electrical design for systems operating at 208/400/480/690VAC and control voltages of 24–220VDC
- Enter articles and bill of materials (BOM) into the business system (SAP)
- Follow and contribute to applicable quality documentation, process maps, work instructions, and functional descriptions
- Prepare technical specifications for subcontractors
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within your area in coordination with the lead engineer
- Assist in component testing, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and supplier evaluations
- Participate in site acceptance tests (SAT), supplier visits, and occasional business travel
What you bring:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical design within machinery manufacturing, process industries, or water and purification plants
- Proven background in project-based electrical design from initial delivery through commissioning
- Post-secondary or technical education with extensive relevant professional experience
- Proficiency in Elprocad or other industry-standard electrical CAD tools
- Strong understanding of redundant electrical solutions
- Solid knowledge of standards including IEC 61439, IEC 61000-6-2, and IEC 61000-6-4
- Meritorious skills include PLC programming, familiarity with UL/CSA standards, and electrical cabinet design per UL/CSA requirements
- Understanding of the Machinery Directive and practical experience in automation cabinet construction
- Strong communication skills with a proactive, structured, and adaptable approach
- Fluency in English is required; Swedish is preferred
