Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior GCP Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Set up, migrate, and manage platform solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) within a database team
- Ensure cloud environments are stable, scalable, and adhere to established guidelines
- Support development of internal platforms and actively share expertise across the organization
- Participate in technical decisions and help establish efficient processes for platform management and cloud migration
- Plan and execute work independently while maintaining high-quality delivery and meeting deadlines
- Collaborate closely with the team to drive best practices for GCP operations, Kubernetes (GKE), and cloud-native solutions
What you bring:
- At least two years of experience as a cloud engineer or equivalent within GCP
- Previous production experience with GCP, including cloud migrations or new environment setups (landing zones)
- Relevant academic education or documented training, certifications, or equivalent experience
- Experience with GKE and cloud-native orchestration
- Strong Swedish and English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge and experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Cloud Build
- Familiarity with Crossplane, Kubernetes, Envoy, and EntraID
- Experience with PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) and modern security principles such as Zero Trust, Least Privilege, and DevSecOps
- Proven experience in complex, transaction-intensive IT environments with high availability, confidentiality, accuracy, traceability, and accessibility requirements, ideally in B2C domains such as retail, banking, or finance
