Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Provide first and occasionally second-level infrastructure support for end users within Time Critical Support (TCS) areas.
- Collaborate with global support teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and end-user issues efficiently.
- Ensure stable operation of engineering environments, including Test Cells, HIL systems, VR setups, IoT devices, and other specialized equipment.
- Lead and mentor the Time Critical Support team in Bangalore, fostering a proactive, self-driven, and collaborative work culture.
- Manage and support Windows OS environments, LAN (wired and wireless), and internal client solutions such as MyPlace and FactoryPlace.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the FactoryPlace PC environment and gateway solutions, providing on-site 1st and 2nd line support.
- Secure local SLA dialogues with key stakeholders to ensure service quality and alignment with business needs.
- Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of client systems, including hardware, software, applications, and peripherals.
- Execute scheduled and unscheduled system upgrades to maintain network integrity, security, and performance.
- Manage engineering computers and provide on-call support to maintain uptime in time-sensitive operations.
- Participate in global IT and infrastructure projects impacting local business operations.
- Work according to ITIL practices using ServiceNow for incident management and process documentation.
What you bring:
- Minimum five years of IT experience covering hardware, software, and network support.
- Proven ability to deliver customer-centric solutions and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Solid communication skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations and provide clear, supportive guidance.
- Broad technical knowledge, including experience with Windows OS, LAN/WAN, and client infrastructure in engineering environments.
- Analytical and structured problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality.
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong interest in IT infrastructure, end-user needs, and emerging technologies.
- ITIL Foundation certification (required); Agile SAFe experience is an advantage.
- Experience working in an engineering or technical environment and familiarity with network systems are considered pluses.
- Proactive, adaptable, and innovative mindset with a passion for learning and continuous improvement.
