Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Develop modern Java-based backend solutions for a new application aimed at improving how store staff search, sort, and manage item information.
- Build and maintain Spring Boot microservices designed around REST/OData APIs.
- Work hands-on with Azure Cloud technologies and contribute to environment setup, configuration, and optimization.
- Collaborate closely with a small cross-functional team of consultants and in-house developers, as well as other development teams within the organization.
- Implement integrations with external systems and ensure robust data flows across services.
- Contribute to improving performance and optimizing the existing codebase.
- Participate in agile development activities within a SAFe-based framework.
- Write and maintain high-quality unit and integration tests to ensure reliability and maintainability.
- Support containerization and orchestration workflows using Docker and Kubernetes.
What you bring:
- Extensive experience working with Azure Cloud technologies and environment management.
- Strong background in developing Spring Boot microservices using REST/OData API architectures.
- Excellent proficiency in Java 17 or later.
- Solid understanding of databases, with hands-on experience in SQL/PostgreSQL.
- Proven experience writing unit and integration tests.
- Good knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working with external integrations in complex environments.
- Strong skills in optimizing and improving performance within codebases.
- Familiarity with agile ways of working and tools such as Jira.
- Very good command of English; Swedish is an advantage.
- Meritorious experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and Azure-based pipelines, SAP ERP/S4HANA, and retail environments handling item master data
