Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

Deliver engineering solutions within retarder and PTO systems, ensuring high standards of design integrity and performance
Develop 3D models and assemblies using CATIA V5, creating accurate and production-ready designs
Produce and update assembly drawings and technical documentation in line with project and quality requirements
Refine existing design concepts to improve functionality, manufacturability, and cost efficiency
Solve complex technical challenges with a practical and innovative approach
Execute engineering changes according to established development processes and tools
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across R&D, manufacturing, and quality to secure aligned and robust technical solutions
Contribute hands-on to prototype build, verification, and industrialization activities
Ensure compliance with internal standards, processes, and design methodologies throughout project execution
Adapt to changing project priorities while maintaining delivery precision and accountability

What you bring:

Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical field
Proven expertise in CATIA V5 for part and assembly design
Solid experience with ENOVIA or similar PLM systems
Strong understanding of R&D development processes and tools such as PD Process, FRAS, and ECO
Ability to independently drive design tasks from concept to release
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical engineering mindset
Excellent communication skills with proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional environments
Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Proactive, solution-oriented, and hands-on approach to engineering challenges
Availability to work onsite 4 days per week with flexibility to increase presence as needed
