Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

Lead and execute design and development activities for industrial engine components and systems
Drive market adaptation projects with responsibility for both technical design and project coordination
Design and develop engine parts, drivelines and related systems using CREO CAD
Participate in prototype development, including build processes and rig testing
Collaborate closely with production teams to optimize manufacturability and product quality
Work with sourcing, testing, and other design departments to ensure alignment across development stages
Contribute to problem-solving activities, product maintenance and quality improvements based on market feedback
Document technical solutions according to Volvo Penta standards and processes
Support continuous improvements and promote innovation within engine development

What you bring:

Minimum 10 years of professional experience as a Design Engineer
Strong practical experience with CREO CAD and Creo View
Knowledge of KOLA structure systems
Experience in engine design (meritorious)
Experience from technical project leadership (meritorious)
Strong understanding of product lifecycle development in an industrial environment
Ability to work independently with high responsibility and ownership
Strong communication and collaboration skills in a global team setting
Structured, solution-oriented and quality-focused way of working
Professional proficiency in English; Swedish is an advantage
