Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Design and develop chassis installation solutions for R&D projects within the heavy-truck domain
- Create structural designs for sheet metal and plastic components, ensuring functionality, durability and manufacturability
- Perform tolerance analysis and ensure alignment with engineering and manufacturing requirements
- Collaborate closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to drive successful design reviews and component development
- Support product development activities from concept to release, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the design and engineering process
What you bring:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a structural or design engineer, preferably in the automotive industry
- Strong expertise in sheet metal design, fastener concepts and plastic component development
- Hands-on experience in chassis installation for heavy trucks
- Solid proficiency in CATIA V5 and tolerance analysis
- Good understanding of manufacturing methods for sheet metal and plastic parts
- Ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders in technical discussions
- Strong communication, facilitation and teamwork skills
- Fluent in English and Swedish.
- Proactive, self-driven mindset with the ability to inspire and work collaboratively with teams
