Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Design mechanical solutions based on defined prerequisites such as function, geometry, volume, cost, quality targets and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and support mechanical design engineering activities within your technical area.
- Play an active role in project deliveries, integrating inputs from multiple contributors and ensuring quality and release readiness.
- Ensure designs meet business objectives, performance targets and technical requirements.
- Provide technical input to product and system roadmaps and contribute to future capability planning.
- Collaborate with universities and external institutes to strengthen knowledge and innovation in your domain.
- Participate in business development and drive innovation activities related to mechanical design.
- Build strong networks across the organization and contribute expertise based on component history and system understanding.
- Lead complex tasks and projects while actively supporting, coaching and developing team members.
- Serve as a role model for technical excellence, continuous learning and advanced engineering practices within the organization.
What you bring:
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering or technical design.
- Deep expertise in mechanical design methodologies, tools and product development processes.
- Proven ability to lead complex engineering tasks, projects and cross-functional collaborations.
- Strong T-shaped profile with broad technical understanding and specialist-level knowledge in your area.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment within a global engineering organization.
- Experience contributing to innovation, research collaboration and long-term technical development.
- Strong communication, mentoring and coaching skills, with the ability to support and uplift other engineers.
- Clear understanding of how your work contributes value to the broader business and technology development organization.
