Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior NOC Technician to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Propose and implement improvements and optimizations for the network
- Lead and coordinate teams of NOC technicians to ensure effective operations
- Identify and resolve technical issues within telecom networks and radio systems
- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities
- Establish processes for monitoring, identifying, prioritizing, and addressing network issues
- Utilize diagnostic tools for network performance analysis and troubleshooting
- Manage and prioritize network events to maintain continuous operation
- Continuously monitor the network to detect and rectify potential problems
- Be open to engaging in additional responsibilities beyond the primary role
What you bring:
- Relevant education and experience as a support technician or NOC technician in radio or network infrastructure
- Proven experience in monitoring and managing radio base stations and network flows
- Strong skills in diagnosing and resolving network issues
- Solid understanding of network protocols and operating systems
- Experience troubleshooting RAN issues related to handovers, capacity, and interference
- Familiarity with network upgrades and application patching
- Knowledge of protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, and HTTPS
- Understanding of network KPIs and their significance for network health
- Basic knowledge of MIMO optimization and techniques like beamforming
- Familiarity with cybersecurity and security-related protocols
- Proficiency in tools such as Wireshark, Tcpdump, Snort, or similar
- Ability to manage virtual machines using VMware, VirtualBox, etc.
- Experience in configuring and optimizing radio equipment
- Experience installing radio equipment
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
