Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior OpenStack & Ceph Storage Consultant to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Collaborate with the engineering team to support and scale the OpenStack cloud platform.
- Provide in-depth expertise to troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain the Ceph storage system.
- Develop and enhance automation workflows using Ansible to streamline processes and improve system reliability.
- Work with the team to resolve issues across cloud, storage, and networking systems while fostering knowledge sharing.
- Write infrastructure automation tools and scripts using Python to complement Ansible workflows.
- Assist in configuring and ensuring robust network connectivity within the cloud environment.
- Contribute to mentoring efforts and help bridge potential skill gaps, particularly within Ceph and automation.
What you bring:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Ceph storage, including deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting in large-scale environments.
- Expertise in OpenStack cloud environments with a proven track record of managing and optimizing cloud operations.
- Advanced automation skills, especially with Ansible, and a strong focus on streamlining infrastructure processes.
- Proficiency in Python for writing custom automation tools and scripts.
- Strong networking knowledge, including configuration, security, and diagnostics.
- In-depth experience with Linux systems in cloud and storage contexts.
- A collaborative approach and excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team.
