Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Power Electronics Engineer – Charging & Electrical Distribution Systems to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on
- Operate cross-functionally within the electromobility department, collaborating with business units to translate customer requirements into charging and electrical distribution systems for the next five years
- Support the development of technical roadmaps, perform gap analyses against customer requirements, and propose innovative technical solutions
- Contribute to ongoing projects within the department by applying domain-specific knowledge and engineering expertise
- Develop and document electronic and electrical components, including simulations and related engineering activities
- Define component requirements and interface with suppliers to manage technical delivery and work distribution
- Take operational responsibility in supplier relationships and lead supplier selection processes
- Evaluate and select components in line with internal standards, ensuring alignment across functions and business units
- Manage both complex components and larger sets of simpler components, ensuring quality, functionality, and integration
- Lead and execute product strategy roadmaps, particularly for key components within the charging and distribution area
- Provide expert-level guidance in hardware electrical and electronics engineering, based on advanced education and over ten years of relevant experience
- Act as a project lead and mentor, offering coaching and education to colleagues across the organization
- Serve as a subject matter expert, frequently consulted for complex issues in the field
- Maintain a strong T-shaped profile, with either deep domain expertise or a well-developed generalist skillset
- Contribute to project strategies by aligning individual technical work with broader organizational and industry trends
- Clearly articulate the value of engineering work in the context of business area and technical direction strategies
What you bring
- Minimum ten years of relevant experience in power electronics within industrial or marine applications
- Proven experience in component development, supplier interaction, and project delivery in similar domains
- Deep technical expertise in hardware electrical and electronics engineering
- Demonstrated leadership in project roles and mentoring capacities
- Strong analytical and systems-thinking approach to technical problem solving
- Ability to evaluate, propose, and implement strategic technical solutions
- Experience managing both individual complex components and sets of simpler components
- Clear understanding of the link between technical development and broader business strategy
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (spoken and written)
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders
