Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior QA/QC Lead to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Develop and own the quality plan for mechanical engineering aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations.
- Ensure the use of appropriate tools, procedures, and equipment for quality assurance in the mechanical area.
- Oversee all QA/QC activities in the mechanical scope, including inspections, audits, and testing, to maintain high-quality standards.
- Coordinate and support the QA/QC team in the mechanical area to achieve effective quality control.
- Collaborate with work area managers, construction management, and technical teams to resolve mechanical quality issues and provide guidance.
- Ensure all mechanical construction and manufacturing activities comply with project requirements, industry standards, and regulations.
- Review and provide feedback on contractors’ quality plans, ensuring alignment with project standards.
- Evaluate contractors’ quality systems in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Review inspection reports from contractors and communicate findings to the project team.
- Coordinate with contractors’ engineering teams to adjust designs and prepare change orders as needed.
- Organize regular meetings to track results of quality audits and follow-up actions.
- Coordinate with third-party inspectors and other relevant agencies as required.
- Provide regular updates to the QA/QC Lead on mechanical QA/QC performance, issues, and corrective actions.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings, internal working sessions, and monthly project reviews to ensure alignment and interface management.
What you bring:
- Proven experience as a QA/QC Lead in mechanical engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical quality assurance processes, tools, and industry standards.
- Experience supervising QA/QC teams and coordinating multiple activities in complex projects.
- Ability to evaluate and provide guidance on contractors’ quality systems and plans.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills to resolve mechanical quality issues effectively.
- Familiarity with industry-specific standards and regulations, including welding standards.
- Experience in process or energy industry projects is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills to provide updates and interact with cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in English and Swedish.
